LOVING THE NEW QUARTERBACK

    Episode 4

   Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is now today and at the end of the day, precisely by 7pm, I’d be going out on my first date with Mr. Hottie, in my mind, I kept wondering how things were going so smoothly but quickly. One minute, I’m breaking up with my ex , then am single and BOOM am going to start dating again. “Wow” am I that hot … 

Well not to brag but “ After all, I am the hottest chick in school, so what’s not to love” I said in my mind and then let out a chuckle. 

That day, it seemed like time was running a race in my head because one minute, it’s 10:17am and then suddenly, it’s already dismissal hour.  

As soon as the bell rang, I went to the parking lot, got into my car, drove out of the parking lot to wait for Kira at the gate so that I could drop her off at her house since she didn’t bring her car and her place was closer to mine.

Immediately I spotted Kira, I screamed

“Kira, Kira, Kiraaaa, over here, it took her a while to trace the voice to my car and when she finally did, she hurriedly got in and then I sped of in a flash. Neither Kira not I spoke until we finally got to her house where I dropped her off and we finally said our goodbyes.

 I speedily drove to my house not caring about the standard speed limits as soon as I parked my car in the garage, I jumped out and banged the door. Then again, I ran up the stairs without even saying Hi to my mum to let her know that I was back from school. 

I got into my room and locked the door then I began ransacking my walk-in closet for a nice dress to wear on my date with Mr. Hottie in a few hours.

Finally, I found something light and nice to put on, a nice red knee-length pencil dress with long sleeves and a nice gold belt to top it up. After concluding on the dress I would wear, I decided to try and relax my body for a little while before taking my bath and preparing for my date, as soon as I laid down to rest, I heard a buzzing sound and then when I looked around, I found out that it was my phone

Buzzz, buzzzz, buzzzzzzz

My phone kept ringing. Then when I picked it up, I heard Ryan on the other end of the line, he said he’d just called me up to let me know that he’d be over in about an hour to pick me up and then we’ll head over to a new French restaurant called “LA MAISON DE GOURMET” for our dinner date, then he hung up.

As soon as he hung up, I rushed over to my bathroom to have my bath so that I’d be able to dress up and be ready before Ryan comes over. When I was done, I put on my dress, then my make up and finally my shoes which were definitely (Red) heels. Then I went downstairs to wait for him, checking my “Gucci” wristwatch to keep track of the time, then I quickly rushed to the sitting room where my mum was to let her know that I’d be going on a date and that I might be a little late. After telling her that, we heard the doorbell ring and then I told her, “That must be Ryan, he’s my date”.

Then I ran off to get the door and when I opened it, Ryan was standing in front of me looking so cute with a bouquet of flowers which he handed over to me while admiring my dress, then he said, “You looking so pretty this evening, even prettier than Snow White”. Then I chuckled softly and blushed a little. Then he held my hand and escorted me to his car which was parked in front of my house, then he opened the door to the passengers' seat and made sure I was comfortable before rushing over to the driver's side . 

    We drove for nearly half an hour before we finally got there . We got out and then he held my hands while we walked into the French restaurant, “LA MAISON DE GOURMET”, and unknown to me, he had made reservations for FIRST CLASS  SPECIAL ROOF-TOP TREATMENT. So we were taken to our table (for 2) where we placed our orders, we began talking while we waited for our orders to be delivered . Ryan kept talking about how he admired me and how he’d known I was the one meant for him, while we were talking , I noticed a nasty-looking guy about two tables to the left from where we were staring at us, mainly Ryan then I got frightened and told Ryan that a weirdo was staring at us but he didn’t care, he just told me to ignore him, but how could I when he wouldn’t stop staring. I got more frightened when I saw something like the shape of a gun pointing out of his left pocket. 

Ryan noticed the terrified look on my face and told me not to worry and then we continued talking.

     All of a sudden, while we Ryan and I were still talking, the guy jumped out of his seat and pulled out the gun, pointing it at Ryan, I got so scared, then Ryan shoved me aside and then, he began talking to the guy. 

I couldn’t hear them clearly, but from the tone in the guy's voice, I could detect that something was seriously wrong. Then, I heard the guy yell, “ Where is the boss's case?” , while still facing Ryan. In an attempt to protect me, Ryan gave the guy a punch in the guts, then the dude who’s name I think was Gus , tried to hit Ryan on the head with the gun but Ryan dodged and he hit me instead. 

    Instantly, I fell to the floor and became unconscious, Gus by now had fled the scene and Ryan was still by my side trying to wake me up. After nearly fifteen minutes, I finally regained consciousness and then I saw different faces, faces I couldn’t recognize, faces of those who had gathered to see what had happened, of all those faces, I could recognize but one, which was Ryan’s. He looked at me with tears welled up in his eyes but my mind was far from our date, images of what had happened kept replaying in my mind and I kept wondering what he meant Gus meant by THE BOSS’S CASE and what it had to do with Ryan …. 

Questions kept flooding my mind, questions like, Who was the boss, what case of his did Ryan have in his possession and how did a sweet guy like Ryan get mixed up with a nasty-looking guy like Gus???
