Loving The New Quarterback

EPISODE 7
      The days and weeks went by, and with each new day came a new fear. 
I hadn’t still summoned the courage to talk to Ryan let alone confronting him. Whenever we bumped into each other or our eyes locked, I would somehow find a reasonable excuse to leave that spot, it didn’t seem like things would ever be the same between us again. At school, whenever we were alone, there was always this awkward moment of silence, I wouldn’t speak to him and whenever he tried to, I would pretend to hear someone calling out to me.

THURSDAY EVENING….

I was lying on the couch in the smaller living room when I heard the doorbell;

DING DONG! DING DONG!!

I got up to see who was at the door. I looked through the peephole, the figure I saw standing right there on my front porch left me in awe, it was RYAN!!!!!. It felt like my brain was about to go blank, like I was about to lose my mind. The only words I could blurt out were “WHAT DO I DO!!!!! OMG!!!!! OMG!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!”. 
 Ryan having waited for nearly ten minutes decided to ring the doorbell again;

DING DONG!! DING DONG!!!! DING DONG!!!!

 Though he’d stop ringing the bell, the sound of it kept echoing in my ears. I finally summoned the courage to open up the door.
Ryan: Hey… I’m sorry I came over this late. 
Rylie: It’s ok. Come in and have a seat.
Ryan:  Thanks. The truth is I just couldn’t wait to talk to you. 
Rylie: Talk to me about what????
Ryan: You avoiding me and treating me like a parasite… Did I do anything wrong?? ….. Have I been jerky to you???
Rylie: No Ryan, you’re really sweet…. And that’s not the issue.
Ryan: Then what is the issue???
Rylie:  It’s complicated Ryan… You wouldn’t understand….
Ryan:   But you can make me understand…. Please I wanna know what’s wrong ….
(With a more sober voice, he says: ) please Rylie… please talk to me.
Rylie:  Oh Ryan…. I’m so sorry for making you feel sad and for avoiding you…. To be honest… its not really a big deal …. Am so sorry.
Ryan:  No worries, I just hope you’ll forgive me for whatever wrong thing I might have done to hurt you, although I’m not even aware of it. I just want us to be close again, the truth is that, on that date night, I had gotten you a heart-themed necklace to give to you later on at “HARMONY PARKS AND GARDENS” on the south side downtown cause I’d payed some décor people to make the place look beautiful and romantic just for you, I wanted to ask you if you’d be my bae there, I didn’t know things would go down the way they did. I’m really sorry our date got ruined but if you’ll give me a second chance, I promise to make it the best date you could ever go on. So, what do you say??
Rylie: OMG… You planned all that for me and I never knew. WOW. You know what… yeah… I’m willing to give “US” a try. 
Ryan: (Hugs her tightly) Great, I’ll pick you up Saturday by 7pm sharp. 
Rylie:  Kk… that’s a splendid idea. I’m already excited…. Lol….
Ryan: Lol… Yeah me too…. Till then my lady. 
Rylie:  Lol… kk…. Till then good sir…. 

   (The both walk to the door while laughing, then they kissed, said they’re final goodbyes and then she watched him from the window as he drove off)

   Later that night…

    Finally done, now I can catch some shut eye. Omg…. how am I gonna handle this whole MAFIA STUFF. Did I over react??? Was Mindy right? Is going on a date with Ryan the best thing to do??? Gosh!!! I don’t know what to believe again… ughhh…. Worrying about this now won’t help now… Gotta sleep… 

 Few minutes later she’s asleep.
